The rules of Sic Bo are characterized by their great simplicity. Available in all the major land-based casinos as well as in the best online casinos on the current market, Sic Bo is a game that has some similarities to craps (even if the comparison stops there). Sic Bo boils down to predicting the result of a three-dice roll. Although craps and Sic Bo use a relatively similar table format, the rules that govern Sic Bo are infinitely easier to understand than those of its first cousin. You will, therefore, only have more fun savoring the payouts of this game, which, for certain combinations, can reach 180 to 1!

This type of bet is commonly called a ‘triple.’ For obvious reasons, it is undoubtedly the most complicated combination of dice to obtain. Indeed, there are 216 different combinations (6 [sides] to the power 3 [dice]), and you will only have one chance to get one of the 6 possible triples (1-1-1, 2- 2-2, 3-3-3, 4-4-4, 5-5-5 or 6-6-6). The third type of bet will give you the opportunity to bet on any Triple. In doing so, it presupposes that the same number (between 1 and 6) will appear on all 3 dice (1-1-1, 2-2-2, 3-3-3, 4-4-4, 5- 5-5, or 6-6-6). A winning bet on any triple will be paid 24 to 30 to 1 (depending on the casino). You will be 6 times more likely to get an ‘Any Triple’ than a specific triple, i.e., a 2.78% probability percentage.

The fourth type of bet is to place your stakes on the lack. In doing so, you assume that the sum of the 3 dice will be between 4 and 10. Note that triples are not taken into account. If the player gets a 3, a 6 or a 9 with identical numbers (1-1-1, 2-2-2 or 3-3-3), he will lose his stake. This is what builds the house advantage on this type of bet. Therefore, excluding triples, the player will have 105 chances out of 216 to get a 4, a 5, a 6, a 7, an 8, a 9, or a 10, i.e., a probability percentage of 48.61%.

The pass is the fifth type of Sic Bo bet. It is defined as the exact opposite of lack. By placing this type of bet, you assume that the sum of the 3 dice rolled will be between 11 and 17. Again, triples are not taken into account. If the player gets a 12, a 15 or an 18 with identical numbers (4-4-4, 5-5-5 or 6-6-6), he will not win his bet.

The sixth type of bet is to place a bet on the exact total of the 3 dice. As you will surely understand, the numbers that range between 4 and 17 in the middle of the Sic Bo table corresponding to the different sums that you can get on a single dice roll (except for 3 and 18, which fall into the category of triples).

The seventh and penultimate type of bet invites the player to place a bet on any combination of 2 dice. This type of bet offers a 5 to 1 payout. The different combinations of 2 dice on which to place your bets are distributed as follows: 1-2, 1-3, 1-4, 1-5, 1-6, 2- 3, 2-4, 2-5, 2-6, 3-4, 3-5, 3-6, 4-5, 4-6 or even 5-6.

The eighth and final type of bet consists of placing a bet on a single number, which must appear at least once on all the dice. If the number you have chosen only appears on one of the 3 dice, the ratio will be 1 to 1, 2 to 1 if it appears on 2 of the 3 dice, and 3 to 1 if it appears on all the dice.
